Outreach Ministry

The Outreach Ministry held its monthly meeting on July 8. We welcome our newest member, Barb Fasig. We are excited to have Barb join our team.

All are invited to attend our monthly meetings that are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 10:15am (right after the Wednesday Eucharist).

Our annual school supplies collection will end on August 13 since school begins the following week. We are grateful to all who have helped us meet the needs of seven students (grades 1-12) who were recommended to us by the Department of Social Services.

July was a busy month for the Creation Care Garden. We began harvesting 2 or 3 times a week due to the sunshine and the intermittent rain! We are so thankful for the garden's bounty. During the week of July 13th, we delivered a record 65 pounds of produce to the Cryer Center. In addition, available produce was shared with parishioners on Sundays during our coffee hours. We look forward to sharing more as our veggies grow. Many thanks to those that support our garden.

Please join us at the “One Community Under God” service at 11:00am on October 4 at the Urbanna Fire Station. Our church is always well represented at this wonderful service that provides all members of our community the opportunity to worship together. This year, Deacon Peg will represent our clergy at this very special service. Outreach will help to provide lunches, as always.
